The A.P. Moller - Maersk Group

Today the Rosti Group can celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The Beginning
The very first products were lamp sockets and trouser buttons, safety helmets and house wares, such as mixing bowls and spoons. In 1948 this was all produced on two injection moulding and one blow moulding machines. The number of products and machines grew, and in 1964 the production of containers was moved to another location which enabled this part of the business to grow fast.

The A.P. Moller - Maersk Group
After the company was sold to the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group in 1971 Rosti embarked on a route of acquisitions, and many companies in several countries became part of the Rosti Group. Meanwhile Rosti kept developing both in terms of different kinds of plastic as well as production techniques.

From 1944 till now Rosti has grown significantly, in part because plastic has substituted many other materials, such as iron and wood. The Rosti Group has thus grown in number of employees, continents, number of customers, production sites as well as products and services offered. After 60 years in the plastic industry the Rosti Group now has about 2500 employees on production sites and offices on 3 continents.
