Happy Birthday! - Rosti India is 1 year old today.

It has been the Rosti Management Board's strategy to develop its business in Contract Manufacturing in Asia by supporting our customers and potential customers plans in setting up their new manufacturing facilities around the globe.

India has featured highly in such plans and so the decision was made just over 1 year ago to set up a new facility in Chennai in South East India and build upon the successful model already established in China. This crystallized into an action plan in the middle of 2008 when two of Rosti's strategic customers asked Rosti to support them in India.

Initially Rosti India was incorporated with an objective to have one factory with 18 moulding machines and sales from selected projects targeted from our major global customers.

Rosti in Chennai is 1 year old today with a full quota of management, operational, engineering and quality skills. The newly assembled team at Chennai with the support of teams from other sites, and specifically from Suzhou, China has made some major achievements among which are the following:

Establishing the facility on-time with its full quota of skills
Qualifying customer mould tools & components and start of production
Commencing ISO 9000 and TS 16949 certifications on time
Striving towards making the Chennai facility a "World class manufacturing facility" in line with the Rosti Board plans.

Rosti Technical Plastics is a global plastics injection moulding company and subcontract manufacturer to the Business Machine, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Automotive, Domestic Appliances, Food & Beverage packaging, Leisure & Outdoor as well as Safety markets. Rosti have facilities in the US (3), UK, The Netherlands, Poland, China, and India, with accreditation in ISO9000/1/2, ISO 13485, TS16949 and many other world manufacturing standards.
