Rosti Joined CSR Project led by the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group
Corporate responsibility is now high on national and international agendas. Rosti recently joined the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group global CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Launch in Copenhagen, Denmark. Twenty-seven CSR representatives from different business units and from Group CSR Committee attended the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to obtain a common understanding of CSR, work actively with Group CSR strategy as well as take a first step towards establishing each Business Unit's own CSR strategy. The meeting also allowed the participants to take a look at the ongoing group programs which address the action points that were common across all business units in the U.N. Global Compact gap analysis.
The A.P. Moller-Maersk Group commissioned a third party company to undertake a top-level materiality review of the whole group. This involved identifying the significant environmental and social responsibility aspects of the company and its operations.
Rosti has a sound record of achievement in corporate responsibility and continually strives to improve the performance and address the ongoing challenges and opportunities. Rosti also plays an active role in the communities where we have manufacturing plants or offices. With the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group's support and guidance, Rosti is committed to sustainable development through a proactive approach to environmental protection, social responsibility and strong economic progress.
