Rosti India manufacture critical components for a Starter Motor

Rosti, at its facility in Chennai India, has been awarded a contract to mould and assemble starter motor components. The injection moulded parts are high precision stationary gear, bobbin, flange and lever, for one of the major Tier 1 Automotive suppliers who will in turn be supplying starter motors and alternators to Tata, Ford, Mazda and Volvo,
Currently these components are imported from Europe and USA, form part of a localisation programme, and will be manufactured in PA66 GF35% Nylon with very strict dimensional close tolerance on the internal profiles. Tool manufacturing will be managed by Rosti. Start of production is expected to be June 2010.
Rosti was awarded this business after a full feasibility study and a technical proposal at competitive pricing for plastic parts manufacture, assembly and tool making. Rosti India is an ISO 9001 company and has been nominated for a TS16949 accreditation which was achieved in time for this award.
