From Local Demand to Global Scale – Flexible, Resilient Manufacturing Models

Customer demand is less predictable, global supply chains shift quickly and sustainability targets grow stricter each year. In this environment, rigid, single site manufacturing models no longer work. Manufacturers need partners who can adapt - fast.

Rosti’s global network is built for flexibility. With harmonised systems, shared processes and coordinated operations across Europe, Asia and North America, we help customers scale, relocate, or diversify production with confidence.

The most effective partners are no longer defined by where they manufacture but by how well they enable customers to achieve their commercial, operational, and sustainability goals.

Flexibility that keeps customers moving

Customers are navigating increasingly complex challenges. Demand curves fluctuate, market launches are often phased, regulatory expectations differ across regions, and supply chain disruption remains an ever-present risk.

Rosti supports this entire journey. A leading packaging customer transitioned from a single‑site programme in Sweden to a multi‑site model across Sweden and Germany. By coordinating tooling transfers, quality alignment and mirrored processes, we helped them expand capacity and reduce supply‑chain risk without disruption.

Flexibility is no longer optional. It is a competitive advantage – and we build it into every project.

This manufacturing flexibility is no longer a nice-to-have – it is a strategic advantage. The ability to adapt production volumes, locations, and capabilities in response to change allows customers to move with confidence rather than react under pressure.

A truly global production model

With over 13 manufacturing sites strategically placed around the globe, from North America, Europe and Asia. We provide shared systems, consistent processes and quality standards that allow production to move seamlessly across regions.

This model enables the production of injection moulded parts with varying levels of complexity and volumes without compromising performance or compliance.

We enable production to be located where it makes the most sense commercially, operationally, or strategically, with the geographic constraints.

Creating production cells anywhere in the world

At the heart of our global footprint is the ability to replicate production cells across sites. Tooling, processes, automation, and quality controls can be mirrored, transferred, or duplicated to create consistent manufacturing environments anywhere in the world.

Our replication capability delivers clear benefits: faster entry into new markets, consistent product quality across regions, and reduced reliance on single facilities. It supports both risk mitigation and growth acceleration, giving customers resilience without sacrificing speed.

Localisation plays a critical role in building reliable supply chains. Producing closer to end customers or key markets reduces logistics risk, shortens lead times, and increases supply chain control.

Tailoring production volumes to customer needs

Flexible manufacturing allows production volumes to be increased to support growth, reduced without operational disruption, or adjusted regionally to reflect local demand.

A recent localisation project with Abingdon Health demonstrated how Rosti UK supports customers looking to establish or strengthen UK-based manufacturing. As part of a wider supply chain resilience strategy, production of a key plastic component was successfully transferred to Rosti’s Stamford Bridge facility, located close to Abingdon Health’s manufacturing operations in York. This proximity enables faster communication, shorter lead times, and reduced exposure to supply chain disruption.

Supporting sustainability through smarter manufacturing

Global flexibility also underpins sustainability objectives. Localised production reduces transport emissions, optimised volumes minimise waste, and energy-efficient facilities contribute to lower environmental impact.

Rosti began working with a leading Tier Supplier in 2017 as they expanded and diversified their supply base, and recently partnered with them again to develop new moulding capabilities for optical lens components. Chosen for its expertise in hot runner injection moulding, Rosti helped create a more sustainable and cost-efficient production method for a precision optical lens, eliminating runner waste from traditional moulding while maintaining high optical quality. After 24 months of development, the solution is now in full production.

Sustainability is a natural outcome of smarter manufacturing decisions, rather than an afterthought.

A partner, not a supplier

Rosti works as an extension of our customers’ engineering, operations and supply‑chain teams. We align production strategies with business goals, support long‑term growth and build resilient, scalable, future‑ready manufacturing models.

We don’t just make parts, we help customers navigate complexity, reduce risk and bring better products to market.
