Mateusz Surmacz shares insights into Medical Solutions’ growth

medical solutions sector Mateusz Surmacz

Mateusz Surmacz discusses the key areas of growth in the global medical solutions industry and how Rosti’s Clean Room capabilities support customers’ plastic injection molding requirements.

With the opening of Rosti’s first Clean Room in Europe, our medical production capabilities are strategically positioned around the world to meet the contract manufacturing needs of both our existing and new customers.

In which areas of the medical solutions industry is Rosti Group seeing the most growth?

Overall, the medical solutions industry is constantly changing, with new technologies and innovations emerging rapidly all over the world.

We’re seeing significant growth in several areas within the medical field, including telemedicine and digital health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of telemedicine as a way for healthcare providers to consult with patients remotely. Remote Patient Monitoring solutions are increasingly being used in medical devices, providing healthcare professionals with real-time data without visiting the patient in person.

The diagnostics industry is on a constant growth path, especially in Point-of-Care diagnostics, which allow for fast and accurate testing.

Advancements in technology used by both medical professionals and patients at home have driven the need for integrated technology and electronics in injection molded products that contain electronics.

Along with the rise in innovative medical solutions, Rosti Group has also seen increased demand for diagnostic imaging equipment, monitoring devices, and therapeutic equipment.

With our production capabilities strategically located worldwide, our medical solutions team is ideally positioned to support the needs of the medical solutions industry. We are now seeing production quickly scaling up as global demand rises. Our Clean Production facilities continue to support current customers, and the European clean room will add extra capacity in the coming months.

How does Rosti support customers with material selection in the medical solutions industry?

We collaborate and have strong partnerships with leading material producers around the world, working with over 1,000 different materials in our manufacturing plants.

Combining our material expertise with our experience in the medical solutions industry, our engineers support customers through specific and detailed material analysis. During validation, we advise on both the benefits and potential drawbacks of materials from different producers.

As the sustainable impact of products and pharmaceutical operations becomes more important, transitioning to sustainable green materials is something we continuously support our customers with. Since medical certification is essential and the medical industry uses the same materials for long periods, our engineers have a well-defined process to test, analyze, and transition to new materials that meet both national and international standards.

Why do medical customers choose to partner with Rosti?

With a diverse customer portfolio across all major sectors worldwide, combined with our advanced Digital Innovation Center and injection molding capabilities, our global team brings unique knowledge and expertise to the medical industry. This is reinforced by the strong development of our medical culture and mindset.

Our customers in the medical sector are attracted to our well-established NPI process. We have extensive experience and expertise across our global team handling complex, large-scale NPI projects in all major sectors.

An advanced and detailed process developed over many years provides a clear and consistent approach to development, analysis, and manufacturing preparation. This gives customers confidence in our process, ensuring they know their products and innovations are in safe hands when bringing a product to market.

How will the new Clean Room in Europe benefit and strengthen the way Rosti supports the medical solutions sector?

We’re excited to open the first European Clean Room production facility at Rosti Poland in the coming months. This will provide customers the capacity to produce medical devices and technologies in Europe for both local and international markets.

By adopting a modular design approach for the cleanroom, the clean room layout of machines and tooling is flexible, and we’re not limited to a certain machine tonnage. This flexibility further enhances our ability to collaborate with customers based on their requirements.
