15-Minute COVID-19 Test Device to Be Manufactured by Rosti Group

Rosti Group has partnered with a global molecular diagnostics company to start manufacturing a COVID-19 saliva test that provides lab-quality results in just 15 minutes. This enables non-medical personnel to quickly detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus on site at the point of need.

Rosti was selected based on their manufacturing proposal, which utilizes their state-of-the-art digital innovation laboratory. By deploying 3D printing of prototype injection molding tools, engineers were able to have prototypes within 72 hours of receiving data, using production-intent materials. Additionally, the tooling solution includes cutting-edge technology, delivering 32-cavity tools in 5 weeks and serial manufacturing under ISO13485 conditions.

This is a critical project and part of Rosti’s contribution to fighting the impact of COVID-19, by providing solutions to a global molecular diagnostics company.
