Hair product brand reduces packaging weight by 5% with Rosti Turkey

Rosti Turkey is pleased to help our customer reduce the tare weight of their packaging by 5%.
Our customer needed a plastic injection molding partner strategically located in Turkey to produce more than 5 million units per year.
As part of this requirement, they wanted to review the design and production processes to achieve the benefits of a more sustainable, cost-effective, and improved product.
Rosti Turkey was ideally located to enable our customer to use In-Mold Labeling for their packaging, moving away from screen printing, which has limited visual qualities. Using IML also reduces production cycle time and the related labor costs compared to screen printing.
Unlocking the Benefits of Rosti’s Innovation Capabilities
We produced samples of the new product design using our in-house 3D printing capabilities. Our team analyzed the sample products for IML compliance and ease of assembly, along with a series of tests to ensure the product was compliant and met quality standards.
Working with the mold supplier, we discussed changes and adjustments to the tooling following testing. We increased capacity by reducing cycle times within the molds, resulting in greater capacity and lower energy consumption.
Project Management and Engineering Support
A key aspect of this project was the material selection process, with a number of raw material trials conducted and assessed at each critical stage of the production process.
We worked closely with the customer to identify potential issues and then modified the process before selecting the most suitable raw materials after further testing and analysis.
We aim to assess our customers’ needs with our own technical team and business partners to deliver the best advantages we can offer without sacrificing quality.
