Rosti Group Expands Footprint in Asia with Opening of New Facility in India

New Chennai facility enhances Rosti’s manufacturing capabilities and supports strategic growth in the Asian market.

Rosti Group, a global plastics injection molding company and contract manufacturer is pleased to announce it has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with a major existing customer from its Integrated Manufacturing division, leading to an expansion of its Asian manufacturing footprint. The new facility will be in Chennai, India and represents a significant step in the company’s strategic expansion in the dynamic Asian market.

The Chennai facility will initially focus on producing high-precision plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing services and as demand in the region grows, Rosti plans to expand its capabilities to serve other key sectors,

Commitment to Sustainability and Local Sourcing

Aligned with Rosti Group’s global sustainability initiatives, the new Chennai site will focus on energy-efficient technologies, such as advanced machinery and smart building systems, to minimize energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint. Additionally, Chennai site employees will engage Rosti’s commitment to sourcing materials locally wherever possible, reducing the environmental impact of long-distance transportation while supporting the local economy.

Our sustainability efforts are a top priority at every site, and Chennai is no exception,” added Pat Williams. “By implementing energy-efficient practices and utilizing local resources, we are reducing our environmental impact while delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to our customers.

Expansion of Workforce and Technology

Rosti plans to employ 100 people at the new 3000 sq meter facility, with the workforce expected to grow to 150-200 employees over the next two years. The site will also implement advanced manufacturing technologies, supported by Rosti’s renowned Digital Innovation Lab. This lab accelerates the process of bringing designs to life, with prototypes in design intent materials being realized within 72 hours. Customers will benefit from faster development cycles and cost-effective solutions.

The Chennai facility will also meet the highest industry standards, including ISO 45001 for Health and Safety, and certifications such as Responsible Business Alliance and EcoVadis.

This latest expansion aligns with Rosti Group’s broader strategy to grow its presence in Asia, following the success of its China and Malaysia operations. The opening of its Chennai facility reinforces the company’s focus on providing convenient, responsive service to customers in the region through an expanded manufacturing footprint and cutting-edge technologies.
