Rosti Group Launches Energy Efficiency Program: A Major Step Toward Sustainability

Rosti Group’s commitment to sustainability runs throughout the entire organization, and to support our efforts, we are proud to announce the initial launch of our Energy Efficiency Program in Europe.
Over the past 12 months, our Sustainability Team has conducted a comprehensive survey of energy consumption across our European locations, identifying significant opportunities to improve energy efficiency.
We now have an appointed Energy Leader at each of our injection molding facilities, leading initiatives to drive improvements in energy consumption and efficiency.
Our goal is to reduce energy consumption by over 10% through energy saving and management measures. With several innovative strategies already in place, along with a roadmap for additional improvements in the pipeline, we are making great progress.
To encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, Rosti Group has developed an Energy Efficiency ‘Community of Practice’ where our Energy Leaders share insights, best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that help all our production facilities achieve our sustainability goals.
Mark Brown, Engineering Manager at Rosti UK, has played a key role in driving major progress at our Stamford Bridge injection molding facility. Rosti UK has successfully implemented several specific improvements.
“Over the last 12 months, the Rosti UK site, for example, has focused on energy-saving opportunities, working on various projects such as installing electrical motor variable speed inverter drive systems, conducting air leak surveys, and optimizing compressor setups. Identifying the most efficient machinery and processes was also key to our success.
“Throughout this process, support was welcomed from all business functions. For example, with greater staff awareness, the team is now involved in routine checks recorded during weekly Layer Process Audits.
There are also dedicated weekly reviews to highlight and celebrate improvements and to focus on upcoming projects.
“To continue advancing the business, we have developed a clear action plan from the recent Axes Technology energy survey workbook, which highlights future gains and required investments. Increased energy awareness also supports the procurement of new plants and equipment by sharing cross-functional learnings,” commented Mark Brown, Engineering Manager and Energy Leader.
As Rosti Group continues to lead in sustainable practices, the Global Energy Efficiency Program will be rolled out across the US and Asia in 2024. This is a significant step and a demonstration of our commitment to achieving our environmental goals, creating a sustainable business for our people, our customers, and the communities where we operate.
The company remains dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, ensuring that our operations not only meet but exceed the highest standards of environmental responsibility.
