Rosti Romania to build brand new factory

Rosti Romania is expanding and building a first-stage, custom-built 10 000 m² factory dedicated to plastic injection moulding and contract manufacturing. As early as next summer, there will be production capacity available for customers who need an agile manufacturing partner.

Rosti’s Romania site, owned by the Swedish company Rosti Group AB, was established in 2013 in order to support a customer’s manufacturing needs in this part of Europe. For natural reasons, Rosti Romania started off on a relatively small scale with a clear customer-focused strategy. The company has continued to grow and thanks to a number of new contracts from both new and existing customers, it is now outgrowing its current production site in Ploiesti. In addition, it is clear that the Eastern European plastic injection moulding market is growing rapidly and is short of capacity.

In order to continue to serve the market and support both existing and new customers, Rosti is building a brand new factory just a few kilometres away from the present facility. By breaking ground in early 2020, the company is proudly looking forward to opening a factory twice the size of the current one as early as August 2020.

It will be possible to add a further 8 000 m² to the new 10 000 m² factory to support customers’ future growth. Underpinned by strong relationships with the leading machine and process equipment manufacturers, Rosti will offer its customers the latest moulding capabilities. The group’s technology roadmap ensures the company’s ability to meet customers’ needs, offering not only manufacturing capability, but also support – all the way from concept to reality – when customers develop new products for their markets. With this development, Rosti Romania further enhances its capabilities to offer injection moulding and full solutions to contribute to its customers’ success.

“As customers are moving further into Eastern Europe, Rosti has responded by opening a new, larger plant. I am really excited to welcome both existing and new customers to our new Romanian facility, which offers the benefit of cost-effectiveness, whilst ensuring the highest quality standards you can expect.”

Ovidiu Lica, MD Rosti Romania
