12,500 Parts per Hour: Automated Injection Molding at Rosti Poland

From raw material to fully inspected, automatically packed product, with almost no human involvement.

This is what automated injection molding looks like at Rosti Poland, Białystok. Fully electric ENGEL machines run 24- and 48-cavity molds at up to 12,500 parts per hour. In one 48-cavity mold, two different components are produced at the same time, then move straight into automated assembly at the machine.

Hot runner technology with valve gates eliminates cold runners completely, reducing material waste, cost, and environmental impact. Robots remove parts from the mold in as little as 1.3 to 1.6 seconds. Assembling 24 sets takes about 7 seconds.

Every product then passes through an intelligent vision inspection system: 360-degree 3D inspection, color verification, dimensional control, and visual defect detection, checking 24 products in 6 seconds—14,400 inspections per hour—with non-conforming products automatically separated out.

Finished products move to a fully automated packing cell: a 5-axis robot, automatic pallet and cardboard handling, layer-by-layer palletizing, and automatic transfer to the finished goods buffer, up to 28,800 products per hour.

The entire line is designed for food contact applications, providing the clean, reliable, and repeatable manufacturing environment that demanding global customers require.

At Rosti Poland, advanced automation, precision engineering, and intelligent quality control combine to provide sustainable polymer solutions for customers worldwide.
