Today, Rosti Group is excited to announce the release of our Sustainability Report 2025, outlining our commitments to sustainability, our progress, and the practical actions we’ve taken across our global operations and value chain. The report showcases how Rosti is integrating sustainability into product development, manufacturing, and customer partnerships, while supporting long-term resilience, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Rosti’s First Sustainability Report

This inaugural sustainability report has been prepared in alignment with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), reflecting our commitment to transparent reporting and responsible growth. While we are not currently required to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we have voluntarily developed this report to support better decision-making, risk management, and long-term value creation—helping customers meet growing sustainability and compliance demands.

“At Rosti, sustainability isn’t just a checkbox; it’s at the core of how we operate and create value with our customers. The Sustainability Report 2025 marks a major milestone in our journey, offering a transparent overview of how we’re embedding sustainability throughout our global operations while supporting our customers in developing more circular, efficient, and responsible manufacturing solutions.”

Ian Farquhar, Division Operations Director Europe and Head of Sustainability at Rosti Group

The report shares Rosti’s 2030 sustainability commitments, first established in 2023, which direct the company’s efforts to reduce environmental impact and help customers make more sustainable product and material choices.

Our 2030 Sustainability Goals: The Foundation

Our commitments include:

  • 50 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions
  • 100 percent clean energy
  • 100 percent green material options on request
  • 100 percent recyclable design solutions on request
  • Zero waste to landfill
  • 25 percent improvement in energy efficiency

The Sustainability Report 2025 showcases significant progress in our environmental, operational, and governance priorities. Since setting our sustainability commitments, we’ve achieved a 44 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions within our direct control, driven by initiatives like increased use of renewable electricity, improved energy efficiency, and reduced natural gas consumption. In 2025, 86 percent of the electricity used across the Group came from renewable sources, supporting our aim to transition production to cleaner energy.

Sustainability through Close Collaboration with Our Customers

The report also highlights ongoing progress toward our zero waste to landfill goal, with four production sites—including Germany, Poland, Sweden, and the UK—already reaching this achievement, while additional sites continue to implement action plans to reach the Group’s 2030 goal. At the same time, we’re supporting customers in transitioning to more sustainable materials, with customers in most industries and regions already benefiting from green material solutions. Through our global network of Innovation & Sustainability Centers, our teams work closely with customers to explore material alternatives, optimize product design, and help de-risk the move to more sustainable manufacturing solutions.

Innovation and Sustainability Centre

Beyond environmental performance, the report emphasizes our focus on governance and employee engagement, including the rollout of an updated Code of Conduct that achieved 97 percent employee training coverage in 2025, and the continued expansion of the company’s global Sustainability Champions and Energy Leaders community, supporting sustainability efforts across our operations.

“Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to our customers, especially those in regulated and sustainability-focused industries. This report shows how we’re working together across the value chain to improve transparency, support regulatory preparedness, and help customers achieve their own sustainability goals without sacrificing quality, performance, or reliability.”

Customers, partners, stakeholders, and the plastics processing community are invited to explore the report and learn more about Rosti’s approach to developing sustainable solutions for the future.
