Gislaved’s new LEAN production facility takes shape

Rosti Sweden site in Gislaved Blue and grey large building

Construction of Rosti’s new production facility in Gislaved is well underway, with completion targeted for the end of 2026. The new site will replace the current Gislaved facility and is being built from the ground up to Rosti’s latest standards for LEAN efficiency, sustainability and brand presence.

Lean by design, not by retrofit

This is a lean site from the ground up. Rather than adapting lean principles into an existing layout, the building itself has been designed around them: material and product flow, workstation placement and logistics routes are laid out to minimise waste and unnecessary movement from day one. Magnus Hettne, Managing Director of Rosti Sweden says:

Brand, down to the last detail

The building carries Rosti’s visual identity throughout. The Rosti Blue run across the facade and in details in the interior, the Rosti Yellow crane is visible in all the workshop area. The Rosti logotype is integrated into the architecture itself rather than added afterwards. It is one of the clearest expressions yet of what our brand looks like when it is built into a physical space rather than printed on it.

Energy comes from solar panels on the building’s own roof, delivering 1 800 kW. here you can see Jonas Persson, Magnus Hettne, David Knight, Murat Haxha and Madeleine Tybert Kothe at the roof inspecting the installation.

A quieter workshop

Acoustic silencers installed in the roof of the workshop halls bring noise levels down significantly compared with a typical production environment, making for a notably calmer and more comfortable place to work.
